TJS Happenings

Well, I just spent a few days in Columbus, Ohio for some day job training classes. Of course, I slipped over to the fancier hotel next-door and performed for some tips. Absolutely acoustic, because I didn't have any amps or speakers.

On the way home, I booked a hotel in Nashville and was able to set up in the very acoustically enhanced breezeway that connected the lobby (with a bit out-of-tune piano) and the elevators. I made more tips than I was expecting, so that was awesome. Then I obviously stopped in Memphis the next day for some great BBQ and a few souvenirs.

I will be hosting a local open mic this Friday, June 12th, at Spokelahoma in downtown Tecumseh. And I am working on some updates to my setlist and am playing with a looper pedal for some enhancements to my current performances.

I have been getting some questions lately about how to keep up with my goings on as FB's algorithm picks and chooses what people see and can interact with. I will try to add things on this on a regular basis, but if there aren't many interactions or comments to remind me, I will probably forget most of the time.

I played at an open mic this past Sunday night at Willie's Saloon in Stillwater. That is the first time I have ever been there. A lot of history happened there regarding the Red Dirt movement, but I think it's claim to fame is that Garth Brooks used to play there a lot.
